The fish that time forgot.
The highly successful coelacanth is known to have lived 410 million years ago, during the Devonian.  Once thought to be extinct, some living specimens have been recently discovered by humans.  It is said that the flesh is very oily and foul-smelling.  This reconstruction by Wild Safari is 14.6 centimeters in length, and is peppered with white spots.
