This authentic sculpt of the Tyrannosaurus Rex is often referred to as the "Anniversary Rex" by collectors. The original Carnegie Tyrannosaurus had a more sloped posture and green coloration. This sienna-colored resculpt was released to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Carnegie Collection in 1999, and has the rare distinction of being one of the first Carnegie theropods to correctly hold its tail off the ground. The tail can be used as a support "leg", but proper scientific posture means that this figure will correctly stand on its own two feet, relying on the tail only for balance just as the real tyrant king would have done in its lifetime. Its majestic stance and gaping jaws seem to roar triumphantly into the eternal beyond, reminding us all that even 65 million years later, there is only one true king.

I mean, I have nothing against the old green Carnegie Rexy, it may not be a beauty but it was a solid combat replica, apparently aimed for the kids… and geared toward outdoor use. Fortunately Carnegie has seen more potential in the collector market than before, so their more recent offerings are not only very affordable but very attractive.
