An intricately detailed figure based on the Pteranodon from Jurassic Park III.
From the world renowned manufacturer in France, Papo presents the Pteranodon figure.  This figure is sturdy enough to hold up to child's play, yet it bears all the detailed realism of a hundred-dollar sculpture.  One of the most famous pterosaurs, the Pteranodon is not actually a dinosaur, but lived during the same era.  The Pteranodon is believed to have glided on currents of warm air, snatching small fish from the water with its spear-like beak.  The figure is in mint condition, still in its original protective bag and signature display tags.

This figure is based on the sculpt of the Jurassic Park Pteranodon, yet it looks far better than any of the original Jurassic Park toys.  The Pteranodon's first appearance in a Jurassic Park film was during the final sequence of The Lost World.  It later starred in its own action sequence in Jurassic Park 3, fighting ferociously with powerful talons and a toothed beak - though the real animal had a toothless beak.  This scene was based on the aviary attack that occurred in the original Jurassic Park novel.  The Pteranodons also appeared in the final sequence of the third film, flying free of their aviary and possibly heading toward human civilization.
