A resin kit featuring a tyrannosaur at rest
In 2012, paleoartist Tyler Keillor began work on an ambitious project to produce the most authentic life-size reconstruction of the early tyrannosaur Dryptosaurus. This project utilized cutting edge technology with a 3D digital sculpt, and has been reviewed for accuracy by Thomas Carr and Steve Brusatte. While the final 1:1 scale model is ideal for a museum exhibit, Tyler was able to use the available technology to create an exact, scaled down version of his model at a size convenient for paleontology enthusiasts. A very small quantity of these models were offered in Dan's Dinosaurs in 2013.
